The development of regenerative medicine has greatly increased the quality of life of those in need and has done it in a way that attracts worldwide attention. In the upcoming years, the ability to regenerate any failing organ will not be out of reach. Regenerative medicine has been compared to the "fountain of youth" in a way that failing bodies of the future can simply be restored back to their normal functions. Old age will be a thing of the past. All this does not come without a cost though. In a growing world that is already facing the problem of over-population, regenerative medicine can impact and increase global population because there will be more and more people living to older ages with the scientific advances allowing them to "refresh" their frail body. The question is whether of not it will be ethical to allow the population to live to an older age if there is already too many people in the world.
